A Team Approach to Prenatal Care
In order to provide you with quality care, we endorse a team approach to your prenatal care. At the initial visit, we will obtain health information regarding you and your family. Your primary physician will perform a physical exam at the next visit. The physicians or nurse practitioner will see you on an alternating basis throughout your pregnancy. This rotation of Ob-Gyn doctors allows all of our staff to be familiar with you and to provide comprehensive prenatal care.
All six physicians provide labor and delivery care on a rotating basis. This rotation allows your care to be delivered by someone who is energetic and not burdened by excessive fatigue. While we are occasionally able to honor special requests for your delivering physician, we cannot guarantee this due to the unpredictable nature of obstetrics.
Dr. Francis Tsung
is a native of Southern Illinois. He has practiced in Southern Illinois since 1995. He completed his undergraduate degree at Yale University, medical school at the University of Illinois-Chicago and Ob-Gyn residency was at the University of Louisville. Dr. Tsung is board certified in Ob-Gyn.
Dr. Catherine Schneider
joined our practice in July 1998. She is a native of Michigan. She completed her undergraduate degree at Kalamazoo College, medical school at the University of Michigan and residency at the University of Louisville . Dr. Schneider is board certified in Ob-Gyn.
Dr. Danielle Tomevi
is a native of Bloomington, IL and joined the practice in 2013. She completed her undergraduate degree at Illinois State University, medical school at the University of Illinois-Peoria, and Ob-Gyn residency at the University of Louisville. Dr. Tomevi is board certified in Ob-Gyn.
Dr. Barenya Mukerji
is a native of Calcutta, India and joined our practice in January, 2022. She completed medical school at the University of Calcutta, India, Ob-Gyn residency at Eden Hospital at the University of Calcutta, and at Monmouth Medical Center, New Jersey, affiliated with the Drexel University College of Medicine. She has practiced Ob-Gyn in southern Illinois since September, 2018. Dr. Mukerji is board certified in Ob-Gyn.
Dr. Peter Roethling
is a native of North Carolina and joined our practice in February 2023. He completed his undergraduate degree and medical school at the University of North Carolina, and OB/GYN residency training alongside Dr. Tsung and Dr. Schneider at the University of Louisville.
Dr. Roethling is board certified in Ob-Gyn
Dana Oberg
is a nurse practitioner who has practiced in Women’s Health since 1994 and joined our practice in September 2006. She completed her Master of Science in nursing at Vanderbilt University. Dana is certified by the National Certification Corporation (NCC) in Women’s Health.
Kellie Lustenberger
is a nurse practitioner who has been in the Women’s Health field since 1998 where she began here with our practice as an RN. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing at University of Southern Indiana and has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2007. Kellie is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Your Care is Important to Us
We are available to you 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. If you need to contact us during office hours, you may call the Carbondale office at (618) 529-4711 or the Herrin office at (618) 998-8808. If you need to speak with a physician after hours or on the weekends, you may contact Memorial Hospital of Carbondale at (618) 549-0721 and the operator will page the on-call Ob-Gyn doctor for you.
